Ethiopia Wuri Gedeb G1 Washed エチオピア ウリ ゲデブ G1 ウォッシュド Peach Tea, Citrus, Floral ピーチティー、シトラス、フローラル ウリ・ウォッシング・ステーションは、エチオピア屈指のコーヒー産地として知られるゲデオ・ゾーンのゲデブ近郊に位置しています。 この地域は、豊かな火山性土壌、安定した降雨量、そして標高2,100メートルを超える高地という環境に恵まれており、国内でも最高評価を得るコーヒーを数多く産出しています。 こうした環境下ではコーヒーチェリーの成長がゆっくりと進むため、糖分や香り成分が時間をかけてじっくりと熟成され、非常に複雑で奥深い味わいが生まれます。 この地におけるコーヒー生産は地域文化に深く根ざしており、代々受け継がれてきた栽培の知恵が、アラビカコーヒー発祥の地としてのエチオピアの評価を支え続けています。 ウリ・ウォッシング・ステーションには、周辺でコーヒーを栽培する約650軒の小規模農家からコーヒーチェリーが持ち込まれます。 生産者の多くは小規模な農地を所有しており、コーヒーの木とともに、その土地固有の植物や食料作物も一緒に育てています。 収穫期には、完熟したコーヒーチェリーだけが手作業で丁寧に摘み取られ、毎日ウォッシング・ステーションへと運ばれます。 ウリ・ウォッシング・ステーションでは、チェリーの厳格な選別と緻密な精製プロセスを通じて、ゲデブ地域の中でも最高品質のウォッシュド・コーヒーを安定して生産する場所として高い評価を確立しています。 ーーーーー The Wuri Washing Station is located near Gedeb in the Gedeo Zone, one of Ethiopia's most renowned coffee-growing regions. The area is famous for producing some of the country's highest-scoring coffees thanks to its rich volcanic soils, consistent rainfall, and elevations reaching over 2,100 meters above sea level. These conditions slow cherry development, allowing sugars and aromatic compounds to mature gradually, resulting in exceptional cup complexity. Coffee production here is deeply woven into local culture, with generations of farming knowledge helping preserve Ethiopia's reputation as the birthplace of Arabica coffee. Coffee is sourced from approximately 650 smallholder farmers cultivating coffee around the Wuri Washing Station. Most producers farm small plots of land where coffee is grown alongside native vegetation and food crops. Ripe cherries are selectively handpicked and delivered daily to the washing station during harvest. Through careful cherry selection and meticulous processing, Wuri has established a reputation for consistently producing some of the finest washed coffees from the Gedeb region.
