コロンビア北部・シエラネヴァダに拠点を置くASOCAMCS農協は、先住文化アルアカの伝統が息づくこの地で、持続可能なコーヒー栽培を実践しています。環境保全への意識が高く、アグロフォレストリーやエコツーリズムなど多方面から自然と共生する取り組みを進めているところに、私たちは強く感銘を受けました。 加盟する49の農園では、女性生産者も積極的に実務を担い、農協主催の講習会や研修旅行などを通じて、品質向上にも力を入れています。伝統と革新が共存するこの地域の姿勢は、味わいにも現れているように感じました。 穏やかで丸みがあり、バランスのとれた飲み口には、この土地の優しさと、生産者たちの丁寧な営みが溶け込んでいます。 ASOCAMCS, a cooperative nestled in Colombia’s northern Sierra Nevada, practices sustainable coffee cultivation in a land infused with the traditions of the indigenous Arhuaco people. We were deeply impressed by its unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship—pursuing agro‑forestry, eco‑tourism, and other initiatives that seek harmony with nature on many fronts. The cooperative comprises 49 member farms, where many women play leading operational roles, not merely as helpers but as producers in their own right. Through workshops and study tours organized by the co‑op, they consistently work to elevate quality. This harmony of tradition and innovation is evident in every cup. The gentle, rounded and well-balanced taste is a reflection of the kindness of the land and the careful work of its producers.
