Costa Rica Monte Copey Kizuna コスタリカ モンテ コペイ キズナ モンテコペイ・マイクロミルでは現在、6つの農園を所有しています。これらの農園はすべて標高1,900～2,000mの高地に位置しており、その中でもキズナ農園は標高1,950mにあります。2014年のCOEで優勝した際の賞金を元に、2015年からモンテコペイの新たな挑戦の基盤となる農地として開拓を進めてきました。 農園主のエンリケ氏は、ゲイシャ以外の伝統的な品種でCOEの上位入賞を目指すという目標を掲げています。キズナ農園で栽培されているカツーラは、その目標への期待を込めた重要な品種です。 また、2023年から肥料を変更したことも大きな変化の一つです。 この取り組みにより、チェリーは目に見えて大きく実るようになり、木の健康状態もより良好になりました。この変化は確かな成果を生み始めています。 Montecopey Micro Mill currently owns six farms. All of these farms are located at an altitude of 1,900 to 2,000 meters, with the Kizuna farm at an altitude of 1,950 meters. Using the prize money from winning the COE in 2014, the farm has been developed since 2015 as the basis for Montecopey's new challenge. The farm owner, Enrique, has set a goal of winning a top prize at the COE with a traditional variety other than Geisha. The Caturra grown at Kizuna Farm is an important variety that represents the hope for that goal. Another major change is the change in fertilizer from 2023. As a result of this initiative, the cherries have visibly grown larger and the trees have become healthier. This change is beginning to produce tangible results.
